Liverpool Peoples Poet 2009

Rules

All entries must be about Liverpool's year as Capital of Culture

Entrants must either:

  • reside in Liverpool.
  • attend school College or University in Liverpool.
  • work in Liverpool.

Submitted poems must:

  • be previously unpublished.
  • be an original poem written by the entrant.
  • preferably be no more than the equivalent of one side of a sheet of A4.
  • be legible.
  • include entrants name, and contact details.
  • state if under eighteen or eighteen and over.
  • be read (or have read) if shortlisted at the Awards Ceremony.

Entrants agree:

  • only one entry per person.
  • no poems will be accepted after closing date.
  • to give permission for their poem to used for the purpose of the competition.
  • the judges decision is final.
  • no correspondence will be entered into.
  • no work will be returned.
  • violation of the rules will lead to disqualification.

Organizers agree that:

  • no work will published post competition without permission of the author.
  • no personal details disclosed to third parties without prior permission of the author.
  • all entries free of charge.
